Introduction
The Warhawk Sales Competition (WSC) is a one-day, fully virtual collegiate sales competition hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater. Using the SAME scenarios employed at the 2026 National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC), the event provides participants with a high-quality practice and preparation experience aligned with the expectations, format, and rigor of competing at NCSC. As a one-day virtual competition, the WSC schedule will be tight, but the benefits will be immense.
A special Thank You to Dr. Scott Inks, the National Collegiate Sales Competition – 2026, and Gartner for allowing Warhawk Sales Competition to use the NCSC 2026 buyer profiles.
Key Facts
Three Competitors: Each registered school may have up to 3 competitors. Registrations are closed, so we are unable to add any additional competitors at this time. If you did not enter competitor names when you registered your school, we will send you a link to add the names by January 26th.
Two Tracks, Two Winners: Given this is a one-day event, and we want each student to compete at least twice, we are using two tracks. Each track is independent of the other, meaning once assigned, competitors will remain in that track. EACH track will thus have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winner.
Rank Order Your Students. If you have three competitors, you will be asked to rank them 1-3. We will then ensure that your 1st and 2nd-ranked competitors are not in the same track.
Three Rounds. Each student competes in Round 1 (NCSC Round 1 Scenario) AND Round 2 (NCSC Round 2 Scenario). One competitor from each room will advance to the finals. The finals will use the Semi-Finals scenario from NCSC (Need Discovery Rubric, with a new scenario).
See the NCSC website when the scenarios are announced. We will also email them to the coaches. See NEW NCSC Scenarios and Rubrics below!
Finals Scenario/Rubric = Same as Round 1
Competition room links will be shared on 2/10/2026.
Rounds 1 & 2 scores will be summed, with the winner of each room advancing to the finals: As the sub-header notes,a winner from each room will move on to the finals (summed Round 1 and 2 scores). This means competitors will not change ROOMS OR TRACKS from Round 1 to Round 2. This helps ensure that students in a given room/track are scored by the same judges. This allows for apples-to-apples judging consistency when summing Round 1 and 2 scores (i.e., harder or easier judging rooms). Room time slots will be assigned randomly for Rounds 1 and 2.
Finals: The top student from each room, as determined by the summed score, will move on to the Finals. The order will be randomly assigned.

Judges. For this pilot year, we chose only to have two sponsors. This means that each school must provide a faculty judge for either Round 1 or Round 2. Ideally, you can provide a judge for both Round 1 and 2 — and even better, multiple judges for each round. The more judges you have, the more role-plays you can see. No one will judge their own students.
ONLY sponsors judge the finals (but everyone can watch).
Role-play recording: We will record and share role-play videos with each participating school. Coaches will have access only to their own students’ videos, and the UW–Whitewater NCSC team will likewise view only their own recordings, ensuring no competitive advantage for any school.
Prize Money (two of each):
- 1st = $1,000
- 2nd = $500
- 3rd = $350
- 4th = $250
Career Fair: Each competing student is required to complete a 15-minute virtual interview with WSC’s TWO corporate sponsors (Cintas and Victor Envelope). Interviews will be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, February 11 and 12. This means no interview worries on the day of the competition. Available slots will be emailed to competitors soon. Failure to complete these two interviews will make the student ineligible for the competition.
